Day 10

Sunday was a struggle to say the least. Considering I stayed out pretty late the night before, waking up at 7:30 am was no breeze (yes, I was still drunk when I awoke). Yet, somehow I survived like a champ. Everyone should be proud of me, but you can save your applause for later. We stopped for food, which saved my life, at the metro station prior to embarking on our bittersweet journey back home to Vienna. I was sad to leave such an amazing city filled with such wonderful people, but don't doubt me when I say that I will be back one day. It is now a goal of mine, and those who know me well know that once my mind is set on something there is absolutely no stopping me. It's funny I should mention that, actually, because the guy I spoke to from Australia (pictured above) noted how independent, confident, and passionate I am within two days of knowing me. I know who I am. Also, fun story, while we were walking to and from the bars on Friday night, I kept telling everyone I was walking with that, "I'm living, I'm living!" and "I can do whatever I want, who's stopping me?" They laughed as I felt like the most fearless woman alive. To my family: Yes, I was safe, but I needed to embrace my freedom in that moment. Who's freer than me? Anyway, fear not, Prague, I am not finished with you quite yet. I shall return.

We returned to Vienna around 1:30 pm and shortly after hit a museum for free. The first Sunday of every month allows free entry to selected museums around Vienna, so of course I had to take advantage even though I was running on fumes. I learned a little bit about the historical influences of Austria and how different life was back then. I then made my way back to my apartment for much needed food and rest.

Here are some extra pictures from my weekend adventure. Cheers!
